CCG is changing the exams for the Pleasure Craft Operator card. There will be 50 questions and a harder exam. Do your course or exam now before it changes!

Proof of Operator Competency
is required for all operators born after April 1, 1983
(Are you 21 or under? You need the Card!)
and by September 15, 2002 for operators of craft under 4m in length. (including PWC)

Accredited Boating Safety Course (recreational boat operator competency), required by the Competency of Operators of Pleasure Craft Regulations, under the Office of Boating Safety, Canadian Coast Guard, Fisheries and Oceans.

The course is 4 hours. An exam must be written and will be marked the same day. Adults and age 8-12 and 13-15 courses and exams are available.
